Hi there! I'm using the product countdown feature on the homepage (https://www.dekorundum.com) and want to put a countdown for the rest of the year. So I did choose the 1st of January 2019 as ending date. But no matter what local time I'm setting in wordpress settings, the remaining time of the countdown is always the same - and wrong. What I have to do to get the remaining time to 1st January 2019 0:00 o'clock corresponding to my local time (Berlin)?
It doesn’t happen on our end.
However, I would like to know more about your current setup to see what exactly is causing this issue on your end.
Do you need something? FTP? admin account?
did you find the problem / a solution? A product countdown in sec's without a precise deadline doesn't make sense! Please help me to fix that!
As stated and shown in the screenshot above I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue in our demo website.
However, feel free to send your WordPress login credentials and I might be able to take a closer look at this.
how can I send you the login without showing it to everyone?
is it possible, that the scipt is reffering always to your time, not to the wordpress time of the installation?
Datepicker acts and calculates the results based on UTC time zone only.
ok, that would be exactly 1 hour difference in german winter time. That would be ok, but it is something else. How can I send you the login data?
You can send the request through the contact form on the main site
could you check the problem, please?
Again and as stated before I don’t see any miscalculation with the datepicker control. If this is not the case try to elaborate your question as much as you can.
the days are correct, but if you count down hours, minutes and even seconds, they should count down to 12pm 1st February, not any other time on that day. Otherwise I always have to start the day picker at 12pm, which is not really useful...
and, as I wrote last time, the calculation isn't based in UTC - I try to post 2 Screenshots...
if I pick February 14th, it shows me 63 days, 19 hours... correct would be 64 days, 04 hours. Relating to UTC.
