Is hypermarket development still active?

Hardly any answers and very long waiting times for patches suggest that hypermarket theme development is no longer a priority. Currently I can't recommend anyone to buy a license. I hope this will change again, but I will switch to another theme sooner or later.

We are working on a major update to address the consistency issues along with introducing lots of new (useful) features to help store owners build a better online shop in ½ the time, and I believe the next major release could be out late this year once the full-site editing feature of the Gutenberg editor gets released into the core.

skull77 I agree, I was about to post a similar complaint but then noticed your post. Nice to know there's an update in the works (as mahdiyazdani replied) but the waiting times on the support forum are truly frustrating, hardly any activity at all.

I am using Hypermarket free theme. Would I get extra support if I buy the pro theme? Is that necessary to get help for these things?

If I unlink ROXY the apostrophe is fine, but if I put a link before the apostrophe it turns backwards. Please advise.
If you look, the main menu (top, centered) is not 100% centered. The bio/about text on the main page is centered but the main menu is located more to the right than it should be. How can I fix this?
Regarding blog post comments, which can be viewed in the two comments here: https://www.elizabeth-saucier.com/2015/07/tiny-beautiful-things/#comments. I have disabled avatars from showing but where the avatar would be is still blank space. Can that blank space (to the left of the comment text itself) be deleted for all comments?
How can I edit the copyright notice in the footer to include a year range? It only says "2021" right now but my content goes back prior to this year so want to include a range, "2014-[present year]".
On each individual blog post page, is the featured image (that appears in the rectangular banner above the post title and content) positioned/displayed by default from the bottom to the top of the image, or does it focus in on the middle of the image? Is there a way I can reposition/edit the position of the featured images as they appear on each post page?
Is there a way to increase the margins in the body of my site?

NKC True! However, I still hope for a quick bugfix for the gallery. Currently I have to use an old JQuery version for the gallery to work. This is actually just a workaround and should only last for a very short time.

Hi Elizabeth,

#1: Apostrophes aren't allowed in URLs because it can lead to issues. Take a look at this:

#2: You'll have to fix this with custom CSS

#3: Not sure about this one, probably also with custom CSS.

#4: I only have experience with the pro theme, so I'm not sure as to what extend you can edit your footer in the free version - I'm assuming it's limited.

#5: You can easily solve this by cropping your images to the desired dimensions/aspect ratio beforehand. That way you're in charge of how your images will be scaled.

#6: Try the BS3 grid builder plugin, it's by the same developer as Hypermarket and offers a lot of additional flexibility for your content. Be sure to also install the Classic Editor (by Wordpress) to use this.

To answer your first question ("would I get extra support if I buy the pro theme?"): No. Support for Hypermarket is dead, whether you have the free or paid version. I've never had any of my questions answered, either on the forum or through e-mail. You're paying purely for the theme itself, once you've done that you're on your own.

#1. The apostrophe isn't in the URL at all... The URL is simply "http://roxy.com", and the apostrophe is outside of the link... The link only is the "ROXY" text, the apostrophe appears outside of that: ROXY's

#2 & 3. I assume I probably need to find someone to help me with the CSS, right? Any thoughts on how to find someone?

Regarding pro theme - is it a one-time fee to pay to purchase it or do you have to buy a license to use it each year?

Your license is valid for a year from the date you activate it.

As an example, if you purchase and activate your license on 1st January, 2019, you’ll get regular updates to the plus plugin up to and including 1st January, 2020. To receive updates after that date, you’ll need to purchase a new license key.
